Frequently Asked Questions

+ What are the most common services that Alpine Collision provides?

The most common repairs involve work on the car body (cosmetic and paint) and car structure (frame). We don’t do mechanical work, windshields, or replace tires unless it’s accident focused. If it’s part of an accident, however, we will do everything we can to make your car the way you remembered it...sometimes even better. Our team is amazing (both in terms of expertise and service - we handle everything from estimating and insurance billing to repairs) and our equipment is amazing (including our laser measuring system that works with all vehicle makes and models).

+ Do I need to complete any paperwork in order to have my car repaired?

Yes, but this will be straightforward and we are available to answer questions. Our 'Authorization To Repair / Direction To Pay' form authorizes Alpine Collision to repair your vehicle and provides authorization for your insurance company to pay Alpine Collision for the repairs. You can complete this from when you visit us or you can submit this information online.

+ Is there a warranty for the work you perform?

Absolutely! Every repair that we work on comes with a written warranty that will be provided to you along with your keys when you pick up your car. For convenience, we provide an example of our written warranty on our website.

+ What other things should I know before having my car repaired?

When you need auto body work, be sure to go to a place that understands your car. Many cars, especially those from Europe, use materials that require special equipment to repair. Plus, replacement parts for late-model European vehicles have to be fit with an especially high degree of precision. The best auto body shops provide specialized training and equipment so that they are able to ‘speak’ the same language as the car they are working on. We have compiled a list of '10 Things You Should Know Before Having Your Car Repaired'. Also, if you only have minor damage and aren't sure if you need to repair your car, please review our 'Top 3 Reasons To Repair Exterior Damage'.

+ What should I expect? Can you share your process?

You can expect a sense of calm and confidence once you see how well we will take care of your needs. You can read more about what to expect as well as our process by taking a look at Our Process page.

+ Can you share any third party feedback about your company?

We have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which proves our commitment to customer satisfaction. We also have reviews from past customers listed on Yelp!, Facebook, and Google Maps.

+ Who are your preferred technology providers?

We have strong relationships with premium companies in the industry, including Chief Collision Technology and 3M.

Our preferred paint partner, Spies Hecker from Axalta, is not your typical auto body paint supplier. With their refinishing solutions, we can work faster without sacrificing quality or performance. As a result, we can work as efficiently as possible while providing you with an unmatchable finish. This means that you get the best quality paint that looks amazing on your car and is smooth to the touch.

It’s important to know that not all paint colors are the same, especially not for a car. When we paint, we need to carefully match the color so that it looks seamless with the surrounding colors giving the car’s current condition. In addition to the car’s original color, we take into account several other factors, including the age of the car, changes in color caused by time, and the effects that the underlying body part will have on the paint color. To make this work out perfectly for your car, we analyze and custom mix all of the paint colors we use!

Note that we will also always offer and recommend OEM parts over aftermarket options. More about why we recommend OEM parts can be seen in reason #8 of our list 'Things to know before having your car repaired'.

+ Can I use a car wash after my car gets freshly painted?

We recommend using only touch-less car washes for the first 6 weeks after paint work. The same advice applies to newly added clearbra films (which protect your hood and painted panels from rock chips).

+ Is it better to perform paint repair when the weather is warm?

We love this question! Some autobody shops don't have a great setup for painting year-round. For us, the paint is 'baked' in our special, temperature controlled paint booth at the exact same temperature year round. For this reason, the outside temperature does not affect our paint process at all.
